Activity 1:
I think this situation is very unfair, because some families can’t afford many things so they have to catch fish to sell them, if they were caught overfishing they have to pay $100,000. I think the cost for overfishing should be $10,000 instead of $100,000.

Activity 3:
- I strongly think that we shouldn’t damage or take the coral.
- Get rid of the rubbish that has been thrown to the Great Barrier Reef.
- Reduce the use of air conditioning and heating units.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Rachel and I am working with the Summer Learning Journey programme team again this year. It is wonderful to see that you have joined us and that you have already posted so many activities!
I can see from this post that you have been thinking a lot about what can be done to protect and preserve our natural environments, including the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. For this activity, we are also looking for you to come up with some ideas for raising money to help protect the reef. What could you do to encourage people to donate some money to the cause? Perhaps you could have a bake sale and sell treats to raise money? You might also consider having a raffle sale and selling tickets to your friends and family. What could you do?
On your blog, please tell us about how you could raise money for the Great Barrier Reef. We are looking for three different ideas. Once you've had time to add them to Activity #3 I will pop back and read your ideas and then make sure that I give you full points for this activity.
