Day 4: Artsy Designer - Summer Learning Journey

Twenty seven names is an art and fashion brand, they originally got their brand name because the label name is homage to 27 workers who was with them along the tough journey. They were previous name were copyrighted by a US company.

Despite the fact that they're not used to their new brand name, there fashion outfits are stunning in a way that makes my tears create a puddle.

  1. Hi Michelle! I was interested by your blog post on twenty-seven names, so I took a browse through some of their online catalogs. You piqued my interest because you said the outfits made you cry tears (in a good way)! Lol! Having visited the website I totally get what you mean. I particularly like the stunning style of the Castle dress. However, something else made me cry tears in a negative sense - the price! I'm not sure I could ever afford their brand...though maybe for a very special occasion like a wedding. How about you? (Oh, and I'm Naomi from the University of Auckland, BTW) :)

  2. Hi Michelle...I'm not to sure I was looking at the right designers because I found out that Rachel Easting and Anjali Burnett met at primary school. Since then Rachel taught Anjali an appreciation for Michelangelo, Morisot, and Kruger, while in turn Anjali taught Rachel an appreciation for Outkast, Lauryn Hill, and Mobb Deep. After studying art and fashion respectively the pair began working on small scale projects before launching their brand ‘twenty-seven names’. The label name is a homage to the list of 27 people who helped to get their label off the ground. Proudly made in New Zealand since its inception, the brand’s values lie in a commitment to sustainability, ethical production and supporting local industry. Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!
