Sumdog 5/12/17

Michelle
Date: Tuesday 5 December 2017
Title: Sumdog

Playing sumdog will help me understand my goals and help me reach up to my standard, sumdog is a game that taught people with reading, math and writing.

I have fun playing sumdog because it helps me know what I have to learn about, you can play sumdog at home and it’s free, and you can collect coins after playing and buy decorations for your house. The games are Dress down, Animals, Tower climb, Junk pile, chef, Soccer, Street racer, Hair cut, Dream jigsaw and other games that you have to upload. I confess that children and people should play sumdog to learn.

Speech 3/11/17

Title: Speech

Intro: Malo lelei my name is Michelle and today I’m going to persuade you why we should have longer school holidays.

In this situation we should have longer school holidays because at the moment here in Auckland there are less teachers teaching at schools because their old, their finding other jobs and their leaving Auckland because the houses can be very expensive.
Specifically  Finland has one of the best educations system in the world. Finland is an innovative country when it comes to education, and its innovation yields results.

In fact  we should have longer school holidays so we can have quality time together with our family member. At school, kids have homework, assignments and projects that are very important. But on the other hand, parents don't really have time with their kids. Even though kids meet friends at school, they only get around an hour to play outdoors. Plus, when it is raining, they can play or do anything but stay under the shelter.

Students need a break occasionally because they should spend more time in vacation with their families. It helps our stress level, we can just relax and enjoy what we're doing.
As I am a kid, I find school holidays very fun because you can enter skids, or other fun programs to do in the holidays. Many children continues musical educations and sport at the holiday, so it's good to spend time what you like so you can follow your dreams at all times. At school students are really
silly and breaks stuff that isn’t theirs so if it's the holiday they can spend their time being grounded from their silly behavior.

This is unfair  for teachers who work hard and teaching some students and silly students they should have 3 days off not two. As kids they don’t have much time to socialize. When children's sleep in, at the holidays they can grow feet taller, this is good for the shorter ones who wants to grow, school holidays should stay longer because it is meant to recharge yourself and anyway, I have experienced lots of vacations at the islands and the country's or sometimes in the beach with my family, sometimes if you're bored you can always go to the beach and the park because it’s free to use at always.

Without a doubt that is why students and teachers should have a longer school holidays.

Should Halloween celebrations be banned in NZ 1/11/17

Michelle
Date: Wednesday 1 November 2017
Title: Should Halloween celebrations be banned in NZ\

No
1. Free candy
2. Makes candy cheaper at stores
3. Hanging out with friends
4. Get to watch scary movies
5. Can play scary games
6. Halloween parties

I strongly feel that Halloween shouldn't be banned because we could hang with friends looking for free candy around the neighbourhood and watch out for each other.

Candy can be cheaper at the stores than normal which means we get more, my friends and I can get to watch scary movies and play scary games like bloody mary, baby blue, chucky, annabelle and IT.

Many people enjoy Halloween parties and therefore they shouldn't be banned because we can spend time with friends and family enjoying food and scary movies and games.

In conclusion, the above reasons are why Halloween shouldn't be banned.

Harold 20917

                                            Harold

Today after morning tea, we went to see harold in a caravan next to the garden.

As we sat down in four lines a screen showed in front of us it was BOB, he showed us lots of different organs in the body, while we were done a lady gave us a bag that had body parts, I had an small intestine we had to write the facts about the body parts and talk about how it works, when everyone was done having their turn to speak. We watched a short film of a boy who got up late, didn't have breakfast and drank a sip of water.

The liver helps sort the food where to go, the brain messages the organs to tell them to do their work, the muscles helps you to be strong and fit.

Vector talks 140917

After morning tea at the hall, as we sat down at the chairs in front of a company that works for electricity had lots of pile of electric, pictures and a t.v.

Later, a woman with short hair walked in the middle of the pictures, she then said her name and where she's from. She holded up chargers and wires that connects electronics "If these has damaged holes in them then throw them in the rubbish." She told us a story about a 10 year old who loved to climb trees and saw a perfect spot for a tree house up a power line as he climbed up he could see his house from here he went yay, his hands touched the power line and he was shocked, but gladly he was okay his hand had to be amputated.

After watching a electric video she finished off saying this "We have water in our body if the electric touches us then we will get
kill or injured.

The Zoo trip 11/8/17

Yesterday morning room 6, room 10,  room 12 and room 11  went to the Zoo to look at wild animals.
As we lined up on the muddy grass we hopped on the bus and found a seat. It was a really long ride, the bus finally stopped as it parked at the side of a stuff animal store “Welcome to the zoo, Glen Innes school” said a voice from behind the door he finally shown his face his name was Frazier he told us to stay inside the bus because it was starting to rain cats and dogs.  Frazier’s twin younger brother John was warning us to be quiet before the animals run away from us.
We entered the Zoo and followed Frazier and John to a wet grassy place “Okay now we are now going to separate you, room 11 is going to go with me room 12 you’re going with John and room 10 you’re going with a lady who’s really special and of course has more jokes than us.” Explained Frazier “Meet Kristy.
”Kristy came out with excitement room 6, 11 and 12 were really lucky to eat morning tea, after when we were done, room 6 the group that I was with started coming from the rocky wet stairs, we saw meerkats standing on their legs being a lookout if there were any danger around. We walked left keeping out of people's way. We finally got to the tigers the’ve dressed the cage like a forest we saw the tiger jumping around and going to sleep. Then we walked to a murky place smelled like tuna we saw ottos playing around the water, as we got to a fancy place, we were having lunch. We lined up quietly to take photos at the ute.
Frazier took us to the New Zealand native animals and plants. We walked very tiring as we finished walking up a stair, tui, pigeons and bell bird flew near us Frazier just finished telling us about the ferns.

We finally came to an end but I learnt  most of the animals, eventually we waited for the other class, as we head back to the bus we gave a teary wave and went back to school.

When we got there it looked very pollution, the water was super dirty because people threw rubbish around y there were can-spray, bucket and paper around.  We planed to make the stream more healthy and better before the stream ends up in the ocean and it will kill many animals. People were oblivious to the stream, many aquatic animal died in the stream, plants were planted by many students but people were still manged to walk on them.
So it was up to us to keep Omaru stream clean.

Making Manu TARATAHI 200617

In this session chocolate fish (my reading group) learned about Kite and Matariki, We've discovered that the seven stars of Matariki are actually the seven sisters. Matariki means celebrating the unique place in which live and giving respect to the land we live on. Maori New years are the time when the seven stars of Matariki returned to the eastern sky, there huge festivals all around Aotearoa.

These festivals celebrated the harvest and helped prepare for the new year. Did you know in Hokianga, the chief, Kaharu, sent off a kite called Tuoronuku to find a new home for the people? Iwi (which means kite) helped our ancestors from centuries ago like sending off  messages from around the world.
Kites are used in different design and materials like wood, metal and plastic these are good flying in the beach and many different places.

And thats why Maori new years celebrate Kite and the seven stars of Matariki.

Eid Mubarak 260617

Today we made an Eid card for our teacher Mrs Peterzen.
Here is the card

Eid Mubarak is a muslim celebration where they have holidays, Eid Mubarak or blessed Eid is a traditional muslim greeting reserved for use on the festivals. Eid means celebration and refers to the occasion itself, and Mubarak means blessed, fasting means when they put anything on there head and can't eat anything only at the night, they end the fastings if they see the moon shine from the star. So thats why today our teacher Mrs petersen is going to end fasting with a prayer and

As Harley came outside he started to ride the scooter to the park as he got little and little he came back and put the scooter back as he found it.
While Dillon came back home he took a little ride down the street as he came back he was full of tears as he sob he said that when he was at the bathroom someone took his scooter.

Start a new line when a new person is speaking. And always remember that when there's a punctuation start start a capital letter after a speech mark. We even learnt about dialogue which means  that two people are speaking
