Tell us three things that you could do to help save the planet
Activity 1:

  • Save electricity

  • Save Water

  • Children love to draw to make them busy but they waste a lot of papers, and if this continues then trees would be halfway chopped down. Well my solution is if you already drawn a picture and you have another Idea for another paper reuse the previous paper and draw at the back. This makes your parents money more relaxed.

  1. What is one thing that you learned from participating in the Summer Learning Journey programme this year? I learned that summer learning journey was all about Maori legends,  protecting animals and many more.

  1. What is one thing that surprised you? I was surprised that reusable litter is used to make dresses and there was an ancient city that is restricted.

  1. What is one thing that concerned or upset you? I was upset that our native animals and other are endangered because they are being killed by predators or plastic.

  1. What is one thing that you (or your family) can do, moving forward, to help protect our natural environment?

  • My family and I could help by not using any plastic bags and use fabric reusable bags.

  • Prevent Items from going to Landfill.

  • Reduce the amount of water.

  • Reduce the use of electricity.

Using the summer learning journey site has help me to get better on my learning for school at 2019,  If I use summer learning journey then I’m going to proceed my work on reading.

Activity 1:

The campaign I choose was Forest & Bird the slogan I choose to support the campaign is help in need because the forest and the birds are suffering and many animals.


Tell us what they think about Countdown’s decision to stop using plastic bags
Activity 2:

I definitely think it is a brilliant Idea because plastics are found in the sea which makes triple threat to the sea creatures and it it unfair if we use non plastic bags than we could use it all over again.


Tell us what you think about the government’s decision to restrict the number of tourists able to visit this special site
Activity 3:

I really love this beautiful view but no tourist or people is allowed to go, I think it is fair because if more people comes to the ancient place it will be damaged and it will look completely horrible it’s like a fire happened there.

Activity 1:


The video I liked was the zero invasive predators, I choose this video because it’s all about predators eating native New Zealand animals such as Kiwi, Tui and many more. They build transmitters to know what the native animals are doing so they could rescue the eggs and chicks before they are eaten.


Post three facts that you learned about the Māui Dolphin
Activity 2:


  1. Females dolphin grow to 1.7 m long and weigh up to 50 kg


  1. Males dolphin are slightly smaller and lighter than female dolphin.


  1. Females have their first calf (baby) between 7 – 9 years of age.

  1. Maui dolphins because they are unique animals that are very important to us in a way that share the same sea as us.


  1. Kiwis because they are harmless creatures that is native to New Zealand and it is our duty to save them.


  1. White Tiger because they are precious animals that are beautiful in the outside but I don’t know about the inside.


  1. Passenger pigeons are phenomenal small birds that has a orange coat through his neck to the tummy and brown coat through the head to the back we should save them because they are beautiful intelligent.


  1. Western black rhinoceros, this subspecies of the black rhino once roamed sub-Saharan Africa they are incredible the people hunt them because of their horns they are hilarious creatures.


  1. Calla Lily are by the far beautiful flowers, I’ve seen one and smelt one before and they smell like a new brand perfume.


  1. Corpse Lily is the biggest most smelliest flower they look beautiful on the outside but smelly in the inside.


  1. Georgia ester is a beautiful coloured flower that are amazing it is a violet coloured flower with a beautiful scent.


  1. Ouachita Mountain Goldenrod is a beautiful yellow coloured flower that is thought to be the last Ice age the actual population of Solidago ouachitensis is unknown but it is very fascinating.

  1. And finally Western Prairie Fringed Orchid only exist in five U.S state in the midwest they are very unique and it is very special to the the U.S.

If I had the chance to go ziplining it would be incredible I would go ziplining everyday , down below I would hear a lot of animals, I would see marvelous native plants and many more.

The most interesting project I came across is the Lansan trees in the caribbean because it's all about protecting the threatened fruit and nuts forest in Tajikistan. Only 3 % of the country is forested. The nuts and fruits are endangered.

I honestly believe that taniwha is real and not a myth because we live at New Zealand and the maori spirit is always celebrating their holidays just like Matariki and to be honest the bubbles can’t be a person, shark or any huge sea creatures.

Searching around the China market is a big dream after eating thousand of ice cream,
China is a big country when it is surrounded by trees and a big sea,
I love China because they make a lot of things, I wish there was a cruise before I left this beautiful place with a clue about china,
but it will be awful leaving it as it is beautiful.

  1. Air pollution are usually made by human.

Activity 2:

  1. I like to play on the puddles in a rainy day.

  1. I adore making all sorts of paper airplanes and launching them around.

  1. My sisters and I would build a pillow and blanket fort.

  1. When I was little my sisters and I would pretend to go camping.

  1. In a rainy day I would watch t.v to make me busy.

Write a short story about what happened when you opened the door and walked outside after the acid rain storm
Activity 3:

As I heard a loud thump outside my window I rushed down stairs, we lived near a forest so basically we get a lot of loud noises but not like this. As I opened the door my hands was sweaty, my legs turned into jello I thought I was about to see a ghost trying to rome my house but instead there was a acid rain storm as I turned my head to the forest direction I assumed the acid rain was harmful as it destroyed the forest, as the acid rain storm finished there wasn’t even a single tree I was so frightened that I thought our house going to melt down. I even saw a bird flapping for his life.
